The Angels are Singing! -- UPDATE

We are posting an update to this blog becasue Beaux has made her decision to follow Jesus and she has now been baptized also!  Since we had done all of our scouting missions to find water, we knew just where to go for Beaux - Wiggly's again!  The only downside is that it has been cold lately so the water was frigid!

Hilary and I are so very happy that our kids have made this most crucial decision to follow Jesus, and we look forward to seeing each other in heaven some day.  Of all of the things I do as a dad, this would be the most important - I am so happy and proud that my children have the opportunity to raise their families in Christ (when the time comes) and carry on the heritage that we were so lucky to inherit from our parents.

Here are some pictures and a video of Beaux's special day...

This post is entered out of order (I still need to post our last camping venture, but it will come after this one), but priorities are priorities!!
We need to let our friends and family know the good news that both Jones and Jaxon accepted the Lord last week as Lord and Savior of their lives, and were baptized at a beautiful waterhole just north of town!  Jones had indicated his readiness a week or so before on our family camping trip, and Jaxon decided just this week. They both understand the grace we've been given through Jesus' sacrifice and resurrection, and were happy to accept His gift of love and forgiveness to join the Good Fight and be His for eternity.  Trent and I are so proud of their decisions and look forward to helping them learn more about how they can live for Christ in years to come.  Hallelujah!  We are so excited for both Jones and Jax.
Tuesday we had a scouting mission to find some water deep enough to baptize our two young men...but did not have success.  We tried an area known as the "Clay Pans", which fill up rapidly with water at rainy times, but had dramatically receded here in the last few weeks.  The water only reached our ankles, so that wasn't going to work!

Checking out the Clay Pan option
Wednesday afternoon we drove to the Telegraph Station, where the "Alice Springs" are located (not an actual spring, but have water after rainfall), and we did find an area up past our knees, but decided to try one more place before making the final choice.  The Lord blessed that third place to be not only deep enough, but gorgeous and secluded and sunny, even though the water was frigid!

Proud Papa and his boys

First Jones, and then Jaxon were baptized by their father on Wednesday, June 11, 2014. Thanks to our God who touched their lives and hearts and brought them to Himself forever!

Love,
Hilary
