Birthday Bash!

Bright & Early!

Up at 6:30 AM

Well, Jax and Jones have officially turned seven, no matter what continent you are on!

Our very fun day started bright and early for 6:30 a.m. present opening.  Don't be too surprised at the mustaches in the pictures that accompany this post...the boys are 7 after all!

They both had a little pile to unwrap and then we headed outside to show them their new bikes!  They really have grown since we moved to Australia, and are now much too big for their old bicycles.  The new bikes have handle brakes instead of pedal brakes, but they have caught on so quickly and are really doing well.  It is hanging in there at 105 F every day, but new bikes are quite an incentive to get outside and ride!

Trent got to stay home from work for the day, so between Papa, Mama and Beaux, we were busy with our birthday boys for every minute of the day.  There were Legos to put together, science experiments to do, remote controlled cars to drive outside, books to read, packages to open...you get the idea!  

This is great!

The birthday dinner was the classic Kraft-mac with hotdogs, jello, soda (sarsaparilla and Sprite) in plastic goblets, chocolate covered pretzels and strawberries...Then a bit later we had cheesecake and cookie dough ice cream!     The boys just thought it was the best day of their life...only wishing our family back home could have been with us.  Of course.

Then tonight we had one last hurrah and did sparklers outside to celebrate their "American" birthday, so the grande finale is over and we are back to business!  Ha, ha!  If we were ever in business...
